At the time, it was sold as an expensive "Gentleman's Tourer "
Sunbeam Motorcycles were in business from 1912 to 1956
The S7 and S8 engines were inspired by the Wartime BMW ENGINES
The Blue badged Sunbeams were the original badges but changed to a yellow badge towards the end of the production in the middle 1950's
The engine being a 487cc air cooled engine and rear wheels driven by a shaft, It has a famous shaped silencer. The Bike can travel up to 70mph but 1950's motorcycle drum brakes are not recommended for such high speeds. This should be treated as a TOURER
The majority of Bikes were sold as Black but Silver Grey was an alternative
In the 1980's this bike has an extensive rebuild and there is an inch thick file of all the work completed. Stewart Engineering, the Sunbeam Specialist managed the rebuild
One of the attractions in purchasing this Classic Bike was the availability of parts provided by Stewart's in Poole, Dorset
This bike is supplied with an original Petrol tank which would need reclined, but it also has a new tank purchased from India included in the sale
